Pseudoprolactinomas	

Pseudoprolactinomas are tumours that are usually functionless. They are associated with hyperprolactinaemia, since stalk compression interferes with the passage of dopamine from the hypothalamus to the pituitary. 
The incidence of truly nonfunctioning adenomas varies, but is usually approximately twenty per cent.
